The impulse to environmental protection, and the improvement of competitiveness under the philosophy of continuous improvement, starts with the processes themselves, and is materialised in major lines of action in connection with these.
In addition, and in recent years, Global Omnium/Aguas de Valencia is committed to hiring staff with scientific-technical knowledge allowing for the implementation of R & D activities to find innovative solutions to the main problems encountered, fostering a competitive technological advance based on knowledge.
Some of the research areas which are of interest to the company are:
- Potable water networks performance optimisation through new real-time data management technologies with predictive forecast of demand, and improvement of leaks detection.
- Improvement of energy efficiency in processes, and promotion of the use of renewable energies.
- Better monitoring of drinking water quality by development of new techniques.
- Diversification on the sludge rating coming from WWTPs and ETAPs.
