Control of discharges
Discharge control is ncessary to protect the receiving environment (Public Domain), whether inland or marine waters as well as to trace the origin of the pollution sources to prevent contamination events caused by uncontrolled dumping, as established by the water framework directive (Directiva Marco del Agua (DMA) 2000/60/CE).
The PCV is performed by the analytical control, inspection of facilities and collaboration with the administrations in processing and tracking records such as Discharge Adaptation Records, Authorization, Prosecutions, etc.
Some tools available to carry out these objectives are:
- An expert team in industrial processes, purification treatments and sampling.
- An information system for the management of the information from industries, sampling points and result analysis, as well as displaying such information on theme maps, all accessible from the field.
- Automatic sampling equipment, in situ parameter measuring, flow measurement, and the latest technology in wastewater quality monitoring in the sewer network, with alarm broadcasting via GPRS for noncompliance.
INSPECTION ENTITY
The quality of the work performed is guaranteed through the laboratory accredited by ENAC as Environmental Inspection Entity under the standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17020, in the fields of wastewater, surface and sea inland waters.
In addition, is a collaborating institution of the Water Administration in the control and monitoring of water quality and management of discharges into hydraulic public domain as Inspection Agencyin Objects 1 and 3 "Flow and contaminant" and "Environment receiving quality" under the Protocol for the Inspection of Wastewater Discharges intended for the Collaborating Entities of Water Administration (PIV).
